- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 2 cups pecans, chopped
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a bowl, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
- Stir in vanilla extract and corn syrup.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour and salt, then gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in chopped pecans.
- Pour the mixture into the baking pan and bake for 30 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for about an hour before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
- Ensure not to overmix the batter for soft and chewy bars.
- Bars can be served warm or at room temperature.
