To whip up this delicious casserole, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 ounces of fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté the chicken breasts for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- Add mushrooms and garlic to the skillet, sauté until tender.
- Pour in heavy cream and Italian seasoning, simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Place chicken in a baking dish, cover with the mushroom cream mixture and top with mozzarella.
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
