Delicious homemade Stromboli stuffed with cheese, pepperoni, and Italian sausage.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup warm water (about 110°F)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup pepperoni slices
  • ½ cup cooked Italian sausage, crumbled
  • 1 cup bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl; let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Combine flour and salt, add yeast mixture and olive oil, stir, knead for 5 minutes, then let rise for 1 hour.
  3. Punch down dough, roll out into a rectangle about ½ inch thick.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella, layer pepperoni, sausage, bell peppers, and Italian seasoning on the dough.
  5. Roll tightly, seal edges, and place seam-side down on a baking sheet.
  6. Brush with egg wash, bake at 375°F for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
