- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup warm water (about 110°F)
- Your favorite pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Your choice of toppings (pepperoni, veggies, etc.)
Instructions
- Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes.
- Mix flour and salt in a bowl, add yeast mixture and olive oil; stir to form dough.
- Knead dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Punch down risen dough, roll out to desired thickness.
- Spread sauce, sprinkle cheese, and add toppings on the dough.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden.
- Cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve hot.
Notes
- Make sure the water is warm but not hot to avoid killing the yeast.
- For a more flavorful crust, let the dough rise longer if time permits.
