Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound of sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 2 tablespoons of lime juice (freshly squeezed is best)
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped cilantro for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients by cutting the steak into 1-inch cubes and mincing the garlic.
- Make the marinade by whisking together honey, lime juice, garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Marinate the steak pieces in the marinade for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a splash of oil.
- Cook the marinated steak bites in a single layer for 2-3 minutes on each side until desired doneness.
- Remove the steak bites and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
Notes
- For best results, marinate the steak for up to an hour in the refrigerator.
- Be cautious not to marinate too long to avoid the meat becoming mushy from the lime juice.
