- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced thin
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar works best)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: garlic powder, paprika, or your favorite spices!
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet and drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by the beef mixture, then the remaining potatoes.
- Mix cream of mushroom soup and milk, then pour over the layered ingredients.
- Top with shredded cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
