- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet with onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
- Spread the beef mixture over the potatoes.
- Add the remaining potato slices on top.
- Mix cream of mushroom soup and milk, then pour over the potatoes.
- Sprinkle cheese on top, cover with foil, and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is golden.
Notes
- Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers for extra flavor.
- This casserole can be made ahead of time and refrigerated before baking.
