Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet, sauté onion until translucent, then add garlic and sauté.
  2. Add ground beef, break it apart, and cook until browned, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes and Italian seasoning; let simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Add orzo and 2 cups water, bring to a boil, then cover and cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat, serve hot, and garnish with fresh basil.
