Delicious skewers featuring marinated sirloin steak and shrimp, grilled to perfection and served with a zesty chimichurri sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 pound of shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 red onion, cut into chunks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 skewers (wooden or metal)

For the chimichurri sauce, gather these fresh ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the steak and shrimp in olive oil, salt, and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the chimichurri sauce by mixing parsley, cilantro, garlic, olive oil, vinegar, red pepper flakes, and salt.
  3. Skewer the marinated steak, shrimp, and vegetables alternately on the skewers.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Grill the skewers for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally until the steak is medium-rare and shrimp are cooked through.
  6. Serve the skewers with chimichurri sauce drizzled on top.

Notes

  • For enhanced flavor, marinate the steak and shrimp overnight.
