- 1 cup of phyllo dough, thawed
- 1/2 cup of melted butter
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/4 cup of water
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix walnuts, almonds, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar. Add honey and vanilla extract; stir until combined.
- Layer phyllo dough, brushing each layer with melted butter (5-6 layers).
- Spread the nut mixture over the phyllo and fold edges over the filling.
- Bake for 30 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Prepare syrup by boiling water and sugar, then simmering for 10 minutes and adding honey.
- Drizzle warm syrup over the baked pie and let it soak.
- Cool for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
