Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Butter for spreading

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, garlic, and egg in a bowl.
  3. Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place on a lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake meatballs for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Slice hoagie rolls, butter them, and toast until golden.
  6. Heat marinara sauce and add meatballs to coat. Assemble subs with meatballs, sauce, and mozzarella on toasted rolls.
  7. Broil the assembled subs for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
