Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons lime juice (freshly squeezed is best)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a kick)
- Chopped fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Gather and prepare the shrimp, garlic, and lime juice.
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, lime juice, garlic, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to create the marinade.
- Add the shrimp to the marinade, toss to coat, and let marinate in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a little olive oil until shimmering.
- Add the marinated shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until opaque.
- Transfer the shrimp to a serving platter, garnish with cilantro, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For best results, use fresh lime juice.
- Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
