- 1 loaf of crusty bread (sourdough or French)
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix softened butter, garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Slice the loaf of bread thickly, leaving the bottom intact.
- Spread the garlic herb butter mixture between the slices.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top.
- Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, unwrap, and serve warm.
