Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until smooth, then add eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and optional nuts.
- Pour batter into a greased 9×13-inch pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool in the pan for 20 minutes, cut into squares, and serve.
