Ingredients

- 1 pound of ground sausage (your favorite type)
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of thyme (dried or fresh)
- 1 package of puff pastry (thawed)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Sauté onions in butter until golden brown, about 10 minutes.
- Add ground sausage, cooking until no longer pink, then mix in garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and roll out puff pastry, cutting into 4×6 inch rectangles.
- Place sausage mixture on one end of each pastry rectangle, fold over, and seal edges with a fork.
- Brush with egg wash, bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- For a twist, try adding cheese to the sausage mixture.
- These rolls are best served fresh but can be stored in the fridge for a couple of days.
