- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon thyme (dried or fresh)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and caramelize sliced onions for about 10 minutes.
- Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned (5-7 minutes).
- Mix in minced garlic, followed by Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, thyme, and beef broth. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle provolone cheese on the beef mixture, cover, and cook until melted (2-3 minutes).
- Scoop the mixture onto hamburger buns and serve hot.
