Ingredients

- 1 pound of steak (sirloin or flank work great)
- 1 cup of long-grain white rice
- 2 cups of beef broth
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced (any color you prefer)
- 1 cup of green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
Instructions
- Cut steak into bite-sized pieces and season with salt, pepper, and half of the Cajun seasoning.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic for 3-4 minutes.
- Add the seasoned steak and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
- Stir in the rice and cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in beef broth, add remaining Cajun seasoning and paprika, bring to a boil, then simmer for 15 minutes.
- Fluff rice with a fork, mix in green onions, and adjust seasoning before serving.
