- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup of grated Romano cheese
- 1 cup of breadcrumbs (preferably Italian style)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil or cooking spray
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Whisk the eggs in one bowl and mix breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, and Romano cheese in another.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Dip each chicken breast in the egg mixture, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place the coated chicken on a parchment-lined baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil or cooking spray.
- Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through (165°F/75°C).
- Let rest, garnish with parsley, slice, and serve hot.
