Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Fold in oats and optional raisins or chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough onto lined baking sheets and bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool cookies for 10 minutes, prepare icing, then drizzle it over cooled cookies.
