  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in oats and optional raisins or chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop dough onto lined baking sheets and bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden.
  7. Cool cookies for 10 minutes, prepare icing, then drizzle it over cooled cookies.
