Ingredients

  • 1 pound of breakfast sausage (or any protein of your choice)
  • 4 cups of frozen hash browns
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped bell peppers and onions for added flavor

Instructions

  1. Brown the sausage in a skillet over medium heat, then drain excess grease.
  2. Layer frozen hash browns in the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Sprinkle cooked sausage and shredded cheddar cheese over the hash browns.
  4. Whisk together eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, then pour over layers.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Check that eggs are set, then serve warm.

Notes

  • This dish can be prepared the night before and cooked in the morning.
