Ingredients

  • 34 pounds of beef chuck roast
  • 1 packet of onion soup mix
  • 2 cups of beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 34 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
  • French rolls or hoagie buns
  • Provolone or Swiss cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the beef chuck roast with salt and pepper, then place it in the crock pot.
  2. Mix onion soup mix, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and minced garlic; pour over the beef.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  4. Remove the roast and shred the beef with two forks.
  5. Assemble sandwiches with shredded beef in rolls, add cheese if desired, and return to the crock pot for 5-10 minutes to melt the cheese.
