- 12 large pasta shells
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook pasta shells in boiling salted water until al dente, then drain and rinse with cold water.
- Brown ground beef in a skillet, drain excess fat, and add garlic. Remove from heat.
- Mix cooked beef with ricotta, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff each shell with the beef mixture and place in a greased baking dish.
- Pour marinara sauce over shells and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
Notes
- Feel free to add other seasonings to the meat mixture for extra flavor.
- Fresh basil can be used as a garnish before serving.
