Ingredients

  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta shells in boiling salted water until al dente, then drain and rinse with cold water.
  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet, drain excess fat, and add garlic. Remove from heat.
  3. Mix cooked beef with ricotta, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stuff each shell with the beef mixture and place in a greased baking dish.
  5. Pour marinara sauce over shells and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.

Notes

  • Feel free to add other seasonings to the meat mixture for extra flavor.
  • Fresh basil can be used as a garnish before serving.
