This cream cheese banana bread is delightfully moist and rich, combining the flavors of ripe bananas and creamy cheese.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, blend mashed bananas and cream cheese until smooth, then mix in sugars, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla.
  3. In another bowl, whisk baking soda, salt, and flour, then fold into the banana mixture.
  4. If desired, fold in nuts or chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and bake for about 60 minutes.
  6. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

  • For best results, use very ripe bananas.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
