- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, blend mashed bananas and cream cheese until smooth, then mix in sugars, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk baking soda, salt, and flour, then fold into the banana mixture.
- If desired, fold in nuts or chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and bake for about 60 minutes.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
- For best results, use very ripe bananas.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
