  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/4 cup of butter, melted
  • 1 cup of diced carrots
  • 1 cup of diced celery
  • 1 cup of diced onion
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Shred the cooked chicken.
  2. Sauté the onion, carrots, and celery in melted butter until tender.
  3. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and stir in shredded chicken.
  4. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper, then add milk and melted butter to form a soft dough.
  5. Drop dollops of dumpling mixture into the simmering broth.
  6. Cover and cook dumplings for about 15 minutes without lifting the lid.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
