- 8 ounces elbow macaroni
- 1 cup fresh crab meat
- 1 cup cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Boil salted water, add macaroni, and cook until al dente. Drain.
- Melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour to create a roux. Cook until golden, then gradually add milk and cream, stirring until thickened.
- Remove from heat, stir in cheddar and Parmesan until melted.
- In a bowl, mix macaroni, crab, and shrimp, then add cheese sauce and stir to coat.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C), pour mixture into a greased dish, top with breadcrumbs if desired, and bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding herbs or spices of your choice.
- Breadcrumbs are optional but add a nice crunch.
