Description

Deliciously chewy chocolate chip cookies that are easy to make and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk together flour and baking soda in a medium bowl; set aside.
  3. Cream butter with granulated and brown sugars until fluffy.
  4. Add salt, vanilla, and eggs; mix until combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture; mix on low until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes (optional).
  8. Scoop dough onto baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft.
  10. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack.
