A creamy chicken pasta bake with mushrooms and Parmesan, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water and cook pasta until al dente, then drain.
  2. Sauté onions in olive oil until translucent, add mushrooms and garlic, cook until tender.
  3. Mix chicken broth and cream in skillet, add thyme, salt, and pepper; simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Combine pasta, vegetables, and chicken in a bowl, pour sauce over and mix well.
  5. Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with breadcrumbs and Parmesan, and bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes.

Notes

  • Feel free to add other vegetables or spices to customize the dish.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving.
