Scale
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp green onions, chopped
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp dried parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the filling:
- In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Assemble the crescent rolls:
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
- Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Roll up the dough, starting from the wide end and tucking the edges to seal in the filling.
- Place the stuffed crescent rolls on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake:
- Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with dried parsley if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and fully cooked.
- Serve:
- Serve the chicken stuffed crescent rolls warm as an appetizer or main dish. They pair well with a side salad or dipping sauce, like ranch or marinara.
Notes
- You can add diced jalapeños or hot sauce to the filling for a spicy kick.
- Substitute cheddar cheese with mozzarella or pepper jack for a different flavor.
- These rolls are perfect for using leftover rotisserie chicken.
