Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil, sauté onion and garlic for 2-3 minutes, then add and brown the ground beef.
  3. Drain excess fat, then stir in rice, beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, salt, pepper, and oregano.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
