Description

Cheesy Garlic Chicken Wraps are filled with a delicious combination of juicy garlic-seasoned chicken, creamy cheeses, and fresh spinach, all wrapped up and toasted to crispy perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the chicken:
    • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
    • 1 tbsp olive oil
    • 1 tsp garlic powder
    • 1 tsp onion powder
    • ½ tsp paprika
    • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • For the filling:
    • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    • ½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • ¼ cup cream cheese, softened
    • ¼ cup sour cream
    • 4 large flour tortillas
    • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves
  • For cooking the wraps:
    • 2 tbsp butter
    • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken:
    • Season both sides of the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
    • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 5-6 minutes per side or until fully cooked (internal temperature reaches 165°F/74°C).
    • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes, then shred it into small pieces.
  2. Prepare the filling:
    • In a medium bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella, cheddar cheese, minced garlic, cream cheese, and sour cream. Mix until smooth.
    • Add the shredded chicken to the cheese mixture and stir until evenly combined.
  3. Assemble the wraps:
    • Lay each tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread a layer of fresh spinach leaves over each tortilla.
    • Spoon the cheesy chicken mixture evenly onto the center of each tortilla, then roll the tortillas tightly into wraps.
  4. Cook the wraps:
    • Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
    • Place the wraps seam-side down in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until the tortillas are golden brown and crispy, and the cheese inside is melted.
    • Remove from heat and let cool slightly before slicing.
  5. Serve:
    • Serve the wraps warm, optionally with a side of marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.

Notes

  • You can add a bit of heat by mixing in diced jalapeños or hot sauce to the filling.
  • Swap out spinach for arugula or kale for a different twist.
  • These wraps can also be baked in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes if preferred.
