Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your favorite)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes, then remove and drain on paper towels.
  3. In the same skillet, caramelize the sliced onions in the bacon grease on low heat for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
  5. Assemble the quiche by placing the pie crust in a dish, layering caramelized onions, bacon, and cheese, then pouring the egg mixture on top.
  6. Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes until set and lightly golden.
  7. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving warm or at room temperature.
