- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 6 slices of bacon
- 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your favorite)
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes, then remove and drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet, caramelize the sliced onions in the bacon grease on low heat for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
- Assemble the quiche by placing the pie crust in a dish, layering caramelized onions, bacon, and cheese, then pouring the egg mixture on top.
- Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes until set and lightly golden.
- Allow to cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- Feel free to add other ingredients like vegetables or different cheeses for variation.
- Quiche can be made ahead and reheated for serving.
