Here’s what you’ll need to whip up this delicious Caramelised Soy Chicken:
- 4 chicken thighs (or breasts, if preferred)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil in a bowl to make the marinade.
- Add chicken to the marinade, coat well, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the marinated chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Pour the remaining marinade into the skillet, simmer for 5 minutes to thicken the sauce.
- Serve the chicken with the sauce drizzled on top and garnish with green onions.
Notes
- For quicker marinating, 10 minutes can be sufficient.
- Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper according to taste.
