- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup crushed nuts (pecans or walnuts work well)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together butter and granulated sugar, then add eggs and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients in another bowl, then combine with wet mixture, alternating with buttermilk.
- Gently fold in caramel sauce.
- Pour batter into a greased pan and bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the cake in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar.
- Experiment with different nuts for added texture.
