- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients, rinse and dry shrimp, and boil salted water for pasta.
- Cook fettuccine according to package instructions; reserve pasta water and drain.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté shrimp until pink and opaque, then remove.
- Lower heat, add garlic to skillet and sauté until fragrant.
- Add heavy cream, bring to a simmer, and whisk in Parmesan until smooth.
- Stir in Cajun seasoning and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Combine pasta and shrimp with the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed.
- Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a milder dish, reduce Cajun seasoning.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
