Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound lump crab meat
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups seafood stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 store-bought pie crusts
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Sauté onions, bell peppers, and celery in oil until soft.
  2. Add garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
  3. Sprinkle in flour and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Whisk in seafood stock and cream, simmer until thickened.
  5. Fold in shrimp, crab, and Cajun seasoning; cook until shrimp turns pink.
  6. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare pie crust in dish.
  7. Pour seafood mixture into crust and cover with second crust; seal edges.
  8. Brush with egg wash and cut slits for steam.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Cool for 10 minutes, then serve.
