Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet mixture, alternating with buttermilk, mixing until just combined.
- Toss sliced peaches with lemon juice and fold into the batter.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.

- Ensure butter is softened for easier creaming.
- Do not over-mix the batter to keep the cake light and airy.
