  2. Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet mixture, alternating with buttermilk, mixing until just combined.
  5. Toss sliced peaches with lemon juice and fold into the batter.
