- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 8 slices of crispy bacon
- 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup of cottage cheese
- 1 cup of ricotta cheese
- 1 cup of marinara sauce
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Boil lasagna noodles until al dente, then drain.
- Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned, drain excess fat.
- Add chopped bacon, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the beef and cook for 2 more minutes.
- Mix cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, and eggs in a bowl until well blended.
- In a baking dish, layer marinara sauce, noodles, half the cheese mixture, half the meat mixture, and a cup of cheddar cheese. Repeat layers, ending with noodles and marinara, and top with remaining cheddar cheese.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake covered for 30 minutes, then uncovered for 15 minutes.
- Cool for 10 minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding other spices or herbs to the meat mixture.
- This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge before baking.
