- 1 cup diced fresh pineapple
- ½ cup diced red onion
- ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
- Juice of 1 lime
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients by rinsing and drying the tuna steaks and chopping the pineapple, red onion, and cilantro.
- Make the seasoning blend by mixing paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Rub the tuna steaks with olive oil and coat with the spice mixture.
- Combine pineapple, red onion, cilantro, and lime juice in a bowl to make the salsa.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
- Sear the tuna steaks for 2-3 minutes on each side until medium-rare.
- Let the cooked tuna rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Slice the tuna against the grain and serve with the pineapple salsa on top.
