Ingredients

  • 1 pound of beef (flank steak or sirloin works best)
  • 2 cups of celery (sliced thinly)
  • 1 cup of bell peppers (sliced, any color)
  • 3 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger (grated)
  • 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef thinly against the grain, mix with cornstarch, soy sauce, and salt, and let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat a large skillet or wok over high heat and add vegetable oil.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the pan in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes without stirring, then remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, stir-fry garlic and ginger for 30 seconds, then add celery and bell peppers; stir-fry for 4-5 minutes.
  5. Return the beef to the pan, add oyster sauce and a splash of water, and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve the stir fry over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • Adjust the vegetables based on your preference.
  • For extra flavor, you can add sesame oil before serving.
