Delicious BBQ spare ribs with a flavorful dry rub and a perfect glaze.

Ingredients

  • 2 racks of pork spare ribs
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for a kick)

Instructions

  1. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs, rinse, and pat dry.
  2. Mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper in a bowl.
  3. Coat the ribs with the dry rub and marinate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium heat.
  5. Grill the ribs bone-side down for 2 to 3 hours, basting with BBQ sauce in the last 30 minutes.
  6. Check for doneness; ribs should be tender and meat should pull away from the bone easily.
  7. Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serve with extra BBQ sauce.

  • For the best flavor, let the ribs marinate overnight.
  • Use indirect heat on a charcoal grill for optimal cooking.
