Ingredients
Scale
- 2 racks of pork spare ribs
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for a kick)
Instructions
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs, rinse, and pat dry.
- Mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper in a bowl.
- Coat the ribs with the dry rub and marinate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- Preheat the grill to medium heat.
- Grill the ribs bone-side down for 2 to 3 hours, basting with BBQ sauce in the last 30 minutes.
- Check for doneness; ribs should be tender and meat should pull away from the bone easily.
- Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serve with extra BBQ sauce.
Notes
- For the best flavor, let the ribs marinate overnight.
- Use indirect heat on a charcoal grill for optimal cooking.
