Ingredients

- 1 pound ground turkey (preferably dark meat for juiciness)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped yellow onion
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 4 slices of cheese (optional, such as cheddar or Swiss)
- 4 burger buns
- Condiments of choice (lettuce, tomato, pickles, etc.)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine turkey, onion, parsley, garlic powder, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard.
- Form the mixture into four patties, slightly larger than the buns.
- Preheat the grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the patties for 5-7 minutes on each side until browned and internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Add cheese during the last minute if desired.
- Toast the buns until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers on the toasted buns with your favorite condiments and serve.
Notes
- Use dark meat turkey for juiciness.
- Do not overmix the turkey mixture to avoid tough burgers.
- Make an indentation in the patties to prevent puffing.
