  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.
  2. Melt butter and mix with brown sugar, then pour into the pan.
  3. Slice bananas and arrange on top of the brown sugar mixture.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, beat eggs with granulated sugar, then add vanilla and buttermilk. Combine wet and dry ingredients.
  5. Pour batter over bananas and bake for 35-40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let cool for 10 minutes, then flip onto a serving plate.
