Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mash the bananas and mix with melted butter.
- Add sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla; stir until combined.
- In another bowl, mix baking soda and salt with flour.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the banana mixture until just combined.
- Fold in walnuts or chocolate chips if using.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- Bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
