- 8 oz spaghetti
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 lb ground beef or turkey
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Boil water, cook spaghetti according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
- In a skillet, sauté onion and garlic, then add ground meat and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
- Combine cooked spaghetti, meat mixture, marinara sauce, cream cheese, and half of the mozzarella in a bowl.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and spread the spaghetti mixture in a greased baking dish. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, substitute ground meat with more vegetables or a meat alternative.
- Let the casserole sit for a few minutes before serving for easier slicing.
