Gather these ingredients for your Baked Beef Cannelloni with Creamy Mozzarella Sauce:
- 12 cannelloni tubes
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until translucent. Add ground beef and cook until browned, seasoning with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Mix the cooked beef with ricotta and half of the mozzarella in a bowl.
- Fill each cannelloni tube with the beef and cheese mixture.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce in a baking dish, place the filled cannelloni, and cover with remaining marinara sauce.
- Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
- Make sure to use a piping bag for easier filling of the cannelloni.
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the beef mixture.
