Gather these ingredients for your Baked Beef Cannelloni with Creamy Mozzarella Sauce:

  • 12 cannelloni tubes
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until translucent. Add ground beef and cook until browned, seasoning with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Mix the cooked beef with ricotta and half of the mozzarella in a bowl.
  4. Fill each cannelloni tube with the beef and cheese mixture.
  5. Spread a layer of marinara sauce in a baking dish, place the filled cannelloni, and cover with remaining marinara sauce.
  6. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • Make sure to use a piping bag for easier filling of the cannelloni.
  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the beef mixture.
